The Wisteqn'eemit Fund Scholarship will award undergraduate ($1000 a year/$500 a semester) and graduate ($3000 a year/$1500 a semester) level scholarships each school year up to $1000 a semester.

Wisteqn’eemit will award one-year scholarships in the fall semester of 2026 to eligible Nez Perce tribal members, $500 per semester, Fall & Spring Semesters dedicated to the memory of Heidi Gudgell, an attorney who served for 15 years (1996-2011) in the in-house legal office for the Nez Perce Tribe’s Office of Legal Counsel.

We have a new scholarship to offer Nez Perce tribal members pursuing college this year. It is called the Wisteqn’eemit Fund Scholarship. This opportunity is being provided to you by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous. The purpose behind their support is to assist tribal member college students financially as they pursue a higher education, which in turn, provides long-term benefits to the Nimiipuu community and tribal families. The Wisteqn’eemit Fund Scholarship will award undergraduate ($1,000 a year/$500 a semester) and graduate ($3,000 a year/$1500 a semester) level scholarships each year.
